Professional Drivers
Job Summary:
The person in this position is responsible for transporting hazardous and non-hazardous material and delivering roll-off boxes, vacuum boxes, dewatering boxes, frac tanks, mud boxes, dry vans, box van, and vacuum tankers/trucks to our customers. Also, the individual is responsible for delivering full roll-off boxes, dewatering boxes, vacuum boxes, vacuum trucks/trailers, dry vans, and mud boxes to its designated waste facility.

Application for Driver
Task Required on the Job:
- Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order.
- Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
- Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment services when required.
- Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading position and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
- Drive trucks with capacity greater than three tons, including bobtails and tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver hazardous and non-hazardous material, roll-off boxes, dewatering boxes, vacuum boxes, and mud boxes.
- Secure cargo for transportation, using chains, binders, tarps, bungee cords, and ratchets.
- Read bill of lading to determine assignment details.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damages to vehicles.
- Report damages to roll-off boxes, dewatering boxes, vacuum boxes, and mud boxes to supervisor in charge.
- Install liners in boxes when required.
- Make sure that the roll-off box, vacuum box, dewatering box, and/or mud tank are cleaned on the outside when transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Turn in proper documentation to its designated office daily.
- Maintain a clean environment in the inside and outside of the truck.
- Conduct Pre-Trip inspection of truck and trailer.
- Wear company issued uniform shirt.
- Be on-time.
Tools and Equipment Required:
- Roll-off boxes, vacuum boxes, dewatering boxes, and mud boxes.
- Tractor trailers, bobtail trucks.
- End dump trailers, lowboys trailers, dry vans, vacuum trucks, flat beds, and roll-off trailers.
- Crow bars, ratchets, binders, chains, and bungee cords.
- Full face and half face respirators
- Tyvek Suites, gloves, goggles, safety glasses, hard hats, fire retardant clothing, safety vest, earplugs, and steel toe boots
Other Requirements:
- Class A CDL, Hazmat Endorsement, Tanker Endorsement, 40hr OSHA Certified
- Knowledge of principles and methods for moving hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, and national laws.
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words.
- Knowledge of laws, EPA regulations, DOT regulations, and OSHA regulations, Hazmat certification, TWIC card, Tanker endorsement, etc.
- Knowledge of identifying potential safety risks ahead of time.
Skill Requirements:
- Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
- Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure that the tractor-trailer or bobtail truck is working properly.
- Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Active listening by paying full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Conducting tests and inspection of equipment and processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Have customer-friendly skills.
Work Activities:
- Haul roll-off boxes, dewatering boxes, vacuum boxes, and mud boxes.
- Inspect chains, tarps, ratchets, binders, and cables.
- Make sure that the tailgate is properly closed and tighten at all times.
- Check outside cleanness of the roll-off boxes, dewatering boxes, vacuum boxes, and mud boxes.
- Check to see if any new damages were generated to the roll-off box, dewatering box, vacuum box, and/or mud box during the time it was at the generator’s facility.
Technicians
Job Summary:
The Technician position is responsible for safe removal and handling of chemical and other wastes in a manner which complies with all local, state, and federal regulations. Apply with Texas One Vac today!
Duties may be land or marine related for both planned and emergency response project work.
Potential for dirty and physically demanding work environment along with strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
Application for Technician
Primary Duties:
- Must be able to understand and comply with all company and client safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and carrying; use of hand tools, power tools, bending, stooping, shoveling and other physically demanding tasks on a daily basis.
- Safely oversee all chemical waste in a manner which complies with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform packaging, handling, storage, and disposal activities involving both hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with applicable environmental and company regulations.
- Operate light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to pumps, vacuum equipment, generators, bobcats, forklift, etc.
- Performs daily housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or G.E.D
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Current OSHA HAZWOPER training required
- Experience working with hazardous materials preferred.
- The ability to lift, push and/or pull, up to 50 lbs.
- Initiative-taker, diligence, team player
- Effective communication skills (verbal, interpersonal, written)
- Reliable transportation necessary
- Previous construction/ field experience a plus
